Hey Center 5!!!

I hope everyone had an awesome summer and a good first few days back to school! For those of you who don't remember, I'm your center rep for the MASC board. This is my second year on the board which also means it's my last. Before we get into that, I'll tell you a few things about myself real quick.

My name is Adam McGuire and I'm a senior at Clio High School. At Clio, I'm the StuCo President, involved with NHS, yearbook, and I also play basketball. Outside of school I like to take pictures, chill with friends, and I'm also very involved with my youth group.

FALL TRAINING INSTITUTES
The Fall Training Institutes's are the first events of the year. These conferences are the ones where the state board designs and presents the sessions. So far we've all been working really hard and there should be some good ones this year. The first Fall Conference for Middle Level is at Bavarian Inn on October 2nd. The first one for High School is at Bavarian Inn on October 9th. There's a second high school one at Frankenmuth on Oct. 30th! There are other conferences as well, the ones I listed are the closest to most of Center 5.

STATE CONFERENCE
This year my school, Clio High, will be hosting the state conference! We're all really excited and its going to be so much fun!!! It's going to be at the Grand Traverse Resort in Acme, March 24th-26th. Hopefully you'll be hearing much more about it throughout the year, so get ready!

STATE BOARD
Lastly, like I said before, this is my last year on the board. That means that any Center 5 freshman or sophomores can run for my position at the State Conference, at the end of the year. That's still a ways away, but its something to consider.
