Hey Center Eight!
My name is Rosie Jones and I'm very excited to be serving you for the next two years on the MASC Board! For a little bit of background, I am a junior at Saline High School where I am a Class Representative. Aside from student council, I am on the rowing team, and I take a couple of dance classes at Dance Alliance. I am on Link Crew, which is a group that does freshmen orientation, and I enjoy going to Young Life and FCA.
Enough about me! Let me tell you all a little bit about this upcoming school year.
This year's State Charity is a group called Liberty Kids. They are providing, with the money MASC/MAHS members raise, Believe in Me scholarships for children with autism and other neurological disorders. This worthy cause will help provide speech, occupational, physical and sensory integration therapy as well as academic tutoring for autistic children. Let's work our hardest this year to raise funds for them. Find out more at TheLibertyKids.com.
Make sure to check out the Listserv! With the listserv, you can send out a question to everyone on the list, and hopefully get some good feedback. You can also use your listserv to send out new ideas or comments. Just sign up for the category that fits you and enjoy!
MASC/MAHS Board members are hard at work for this year's Fall Training Institutes' presentations. You can see a list of locations/dates on the calendar or download the registration form from the Upcoming Conferences section!
Well that's about all of the information I have for you as of now. May I be the first to wish you Good Luck with the 2006-2007 school year! Please feel free to contact me; my email is rcjones890@comcast.net - and I check that at least once a day. Let me know what I can do for you! I said it before and I'll say it again, I am so excited to serve you over these next two years. I look forward to meeting you all at future MASC/MAHS events!
