| Pat Boss was the MASSP Director of Student Services for MASC from 1992-1997. She was an inspiration to all the members of the association and put her heart and soul into her job, working both day and night to make MASC the best it could be. She believed in the students and made certain that students received the recognition they deserved.
In tribute to the outstanding work and inspiration of Pat Boss, the MASC Student State Advisory Board has created this award to honor Mrs. Boss. The Patricia C. Boss Student Leadership Award will be given annually at the State Convention to an outstanding student leader in MASC.
A Student Leader of the Year for the High School Level will be selected from the applications received. The recipient will be selected by the MASC State Student Advisory Board. Recognition of the winner will take place at the MASC State Conference for high school students. No student may receive this award more than once in his or her high school career.
General Requirements:
- The candidate must be enrolled in a high school that is a current member of The Michigan Association of Student Councils.
- The candidate must be recommended by an administrator and a faculty member.
- Each candidate must present the importance of student leadership in his or her lives.
